The Vly House is Returning to Radio!

Good news everyone! The Vly House is returning to WNYU radio this week. I’ll be streaming live from the studio every Wednesday morning from 1:00 to 3:00 AM Eastern time. I’m pretty excited, as this will be my first show in nearly a year. I’ve been digging around for some gems to start the season off properly, so if you’re near a computer, tune in!

If for some reason you can’t get the streaming working, open iTunes -> Radio -> College/University -> WNYU.

Cosmin TRG Live

If you’ve been following techno at all recently, the name should be more than familiar to you. After receiving some great reviews for his debut album, Simulat,  and mixing a solid RA Podcast, I decided to check out one of his live sets. Recorded live in London at Rush Hour Label Night, this set is full of great techno, including many tracks I’m currently trying to track down names for.

Luke Slater Goes Hard

It’s the weekend once again – time for some techno to get your heartbeat going. I’ve been listening to this mix non-stop lately: at the gym, writing papers or just sitting around. Don’t let the harder 130+ BPMs intimidate you, this is techno at its finest.

Track of the Week: Stimming’s “Challenge The Air”

Released on Diynamic earlier this week, Challenge the Air includes tracks by label boss Solomun and one of my favorites, Stimming. From the official release:

Although the track features a typical Stimming sound and has enough power to entertain the dancefloor, it is definitely one of Stimming’s more personal and emotive works.

Yes, It’s Monday Again (With Robert Hood!)

Countdown to the weekend has begun once again, and that’s OK because this week’s CLR Podcast features techno pioneer and legend Robert Hood. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, you may have recently heard his post-summer house anthem “Baby, Baby” under his Floorplan moniker (it’s really good). Tracklist includes Ben Sims, Nic Fanciulli, James Ruskin, Joey Beltram, Mark Broom, Plastikman, Kevin Saunderson, among others. It’s going to be a good week.
